Drug and Alcohol Rehab in Georgia — Outpatient Treatment Statewide

Medically reviewed by Dr. Bryon McQuirt

Searching for drug or alcohol rehab in Georgia? Hope Harbor Wellness provides Joint Commission Accredited outpatient treatment from our Hiram, GA facility — serving Metro Atlanta and Northwest Georgia in person, with Virtual IOP available to clinically appropriate adults anywhere in the state.

"Rehab in Georgia" covers a lot of ground — literally. If you're near Hiram, Atlanta, Marietta, or the Northwest Georgia corridor, in-person PHP or IOP at our facility is likely the right starting point. If you're in Savannah, Columbus, Macon, or anywhere outside easy driving distance, Virtual IOP delivers the same clinical curriculum through telehealth, without requiring you to relocate or travel for treatment.

  • Confidential assessment to determine the safest starting point.
  • Outpatient treatment planning with PHP, IOP, MAT, Virtual IOP, or dual diagnosis care when appropriate.
  • Commercial insurance verification available before care begins.
Access & Location

Two Ways to Access Treatment in Georgia

In-Person Treatment — Hiram, GA (Metro Atlanta / Northwest Georgia)

Our facility at 126 Enterprise Path, Suite 208, Hiram, GA 30141 serves clients from across the Northwest Georgia corridor in person, including Atlanta, Marietta, Kennesaw, Cobb County, Paulding County, Douglas County, Cherokee County, Bartow County, Carroll County, and Haralson County. If you're within roughly an hour of Hiram, in-person PHP or IOP is generally the most clinically robust option — see our full list of areas we serve for details specific to your community.

Virtual IOP — Available to Eligible Adults Statewide

For Georgia residents outside Metro Atlanta — Savannah, Columbus, Macon, Augusta, Albany, Valdosta, and everywhere in between — Virtual IOP may be a clinically appropriate option. It delivers the same group therapy, individual sessions, and psychiatric support as our in-person program through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Eligibility is determined by clinical assessment, not zip code, but Virtual IOP is generally appropriate for adults with mild to moderate substance use and stable housing who don't require in-person medical monitoring.

Why Hope Harbor

Georgia's Addiction Treatment Landscape: Why Access Is Uneven

Georgia's overdose crisis has not been evenly distributed, and neither has treatment access. The state's fentanyl-driven rise in overdose deaths accelerated sharply from 2017 forward, with 2022 representing a peak year in the state's recorded overdose history according to Georgia Department of Public Health data. But most Joint Commission Accredited outpatient programs with commercial-insurance intake are concentrated in and around Metro Atlanta — leaving large parts of the state, particularly rural Northwest and South Georgia, without a nearby accredited option.

That gap is exactly what Virtual IOP was built to close. It doesn't replace the value of in-person care for people who can access it, but for a Georgia resident three hours from the nearest accredited program, it's often the difference between getting evidence-based treatment and getting none at all.
